§ 2-282. Members.

In making these nominations for the "Keep Paulding Beautiful" commission, the Chairman of the Paulding County Board of Commissioners shall seek proposed recommendations of members to make up the "Keep Paulding Beautiful" commission as follows:

(1)

One member shall be the Paulding County Recycling Coordinator or her designee and said coordinator shall act as the chairman of said commission;

(2)

Each post commissioner shall recommend two members which shall be residents of the respective recommending commissioner's post district;

(3)

The chairman of the board of commissioners shall recommend three members, at large, which are residents of Paulding County or who own and operate businesses located within Paulding County;

(4)

The Paulding County Chamber of Commerce shall recommend one member; and

(5)

The board of commissioners may recommend other members for nomination, if desirous, pursuant to the nomination and confirmation process of the board of commissioners until the committee reaches it maximum number of members set forth herein.

Each member so appointed shall serve for a term as designated and until a successor shall be appointed to replace such member as provided herein.

In the event any recommendation is not received or not nominated by the chairman of the board of commissioners or not confirmed by the board of commissioners, the chairman of the board of commissioners may make a substitute nomination subject to confirmation by the board of commissioners.
