§ 54-37. Powers and authority.

The county planning commission is hereby authorized and empowered to:

(1)

Conduct public meetings and public hearings on all matters affecting zoning amendments, zoning applications, text amendments to the zoning ordinance, hardship applications, special use permits and land use permits;

(2)

To inquire into all matters which are or may be affected by any public planning or zoning meeting or hearing;

(3)

To conduct such other public meeting, public hearing or business as may be requested by the board of commissioners;

(4)

To make and prescribe rules and bylaws regarding the conduct of the planning and zoning meetings and hearings, the rules and bylaws to be submitted to the board of commissioners for ratification and amendment prior to the use thereof.
