§ 2. Composition of board.

(a)

The commission established in this Act shall consist of five members of which one member shall be known as chairperson and four members shall be known as commissioners. The chairperson shall be elected by a majority vote of the voters of the entire county voting at the elections provided for in this Act. The commissioners shall be elected by a majority vote of the respective commissioner districts at the elections provided for in this Act. Positions on the board shall be chairperson and Commissioner Posts 1 through 4, and all candidates for membership on the board shall designate the position for which they are offering.

(b)

The chairperson shall be a citizen of this state who has attained the age of 30 years and who has been a resident of Paulding County for not less than two years next preceding his or her election and shall hold no other elective public office. The chairperson shall be a full voting member of the board.

(c)

Members of the commission, other than the chairperson, shall be citizens of this state who have attained the age of 25 years and who have been residents of Paulding County for not less than one year next preceding their election and shall hold no other elective public office.
