§ 66-127. Sewer connection required.

Latest version.
  • For those properties located within the Pumpkinvine Creek WRF Service Areas, the Coppermine WRF Service Areas, and the Sweetwater Drainage Basin, any newly permitted residential structure which is located within a residential subdivision development, if the residential development contains more than three residential structures, any newly permitted industrial structure or any newly permitted commercial structure, if there is sewer availability as defined herein, shall be connected to the sanitary sewer system before a final plat will be signed by the water system and/or a certificate of occupancy may be granted. However, the water system director may, at his discretion, make the following exceptions to this requirement:

    a.

    Developments within the Coppermine WRF Basin, which do not require sewer connection as a result of the Paulding County Zoning Ordinance or related zoning stipulations, may be exempt from the mandatory sewer connection if the director deems it is in the best interests of the county;

    b.

    Without waiving the fees or requirements of the respective actual basin, the water system director may further allow any mandatory sewer connection to be temporarily redirected from one service area to another service area during the plan review process if the director determines the alternate sewer connection is in the best interests of the system.
