§ 67-14. County occupation tax certificate, public liability insurance required.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of erecting or maintaining signs within the county, unless and until such entity has obtained or provided a copy of a valid occupation tax certificate from a city or county within the State of Georgia and a certificate of insurance from an insurance company authorized to do business in the state evidencing that the entity has in effect public liability and property damage insurance in the sum of $25,000.00 for property damage for any one claim, and public liability insurance in an amount not less that $100,000.00 for injuries, including accidental death to one person. The certificate of insurance shall state that the insurance carrier shall notify the county 30 days in advance of any termination and/or restriction of the coverage, including nonrenewal, cancellation, and nonpayment of any premium.
